Same-Sex Sexuality
BIG IDEA:
LGB/SSA students need to understand that God loves them, values them, and sees them as a beautiful part of his creation. For many students attracted to the same sex, this message hasn’t always been communicated in the church. This needs to change. And you are part of that change. All people need to know that they are beloved by the Creator of the universe. Simply experiencing attraction to the same sex is not a morally culpable sin. Someone can be same-sex attracted (or gay) and faithfully follow God. God gives clear instructions for sex and marriage, and he also loves and cares for all people, including LGBTQ people.

Transgender Identities
BIG IDEA:
Transgender identities can be confusing and misunderstood. Dating & Friendships
BIG IDEA:
The Bible gives us principles that might help us think through dating, but it doesn’t give us direct, specific guidance on dating. This video will help guide students through two perspectives: “dating for marriage” and “dating for maturity.” It will also tackle the importance of friendship. We need to recognize the overlap that exists between the two, but most of all, we need to help our students see that intimate, meaningful friendships are vital to living the Christian life.

Sex in the iWorld
BIG IDEA:
We tend to be reactive rather than proactive in our sex talks at church. It’s important to look ahead and understand what topics or ideas we will need to navigate next. As technology keeps developing, it will become more and more intertwined with sex and sexuality. Our goal is to help students cultivate a thoughtful theological response to whatever questions might come their way about new technological advances related to sexuality.

Following Jesus in This Sexualized Age
BIG IDEA:
For Christians, conversations about sex ultimately have much more to do with Jesus than they do with sex. Joyfully surrendering ourselves to Jesus and his rule over our lives is a fundamental prerequisite for living a life of sexual integrity.
